THE PROCESS OF MAKING PLASTIC HANGER

Understanding making insights

• The hangers are made of thermosetting plastics which have high tensile strength.

• This plastic is used in making switchboards because once thermosetting plastics sets, they cannot be remolded.

• These hangers look weak but, due to high tensile strength, it can lift heavy clothes without getting damaged.

• Making these hangers at home is difficult because it requires a certain amount of pressure and heat that our kitchen stove cannot provide.
