ILLUSTRATED GLOSSARY

Line Measure: Number of words in a line/ length of a line.

- Here, Approx. seven words make the line measure.

Leading: The space between two lines.

- Here, The subheading required a larger leading because the font size is big.

Tracking: Uniform space between the letters.

- Here, the tracking is -100 for the first letter which is bigger than the other font size. To void that extra space, I decreased the tracking.

Kerning: Adjusting the characters to avoid negative spaces due to collision.

Alignment: Aligning the text according to the margin.

Indents: Space left before the paragraph starts.

Out-dent: Space covered by extending the first line of the paragraph.
